Hi my name is Rob
I was born in Liverpool in 1958 and so i am told, started drawing at a very early age. Although I enjoyed my drawing, I was never that serious about it, going out with my friends was more fun. Having passed my exams in art and a few other subjects, in 1976 I left school and within 1 year I had joined the British Army. Once people found out I could draw I recieved offers of work, although I did not do portraits. I specialized in Abstracts or copies of Pop albums and posters in Oil, Watercolouur and Acrylic. I left the Army in 1993 and since then have been living in Emsdetten, Germany with my wife and three children. Although I still do some work in Acrylic and Watercolour (not portraits), I now specialize in pencil portraits (preferably in Graphite) but also in colour. I was online looking for ideas for a new project when I stumbled onto a site from another artist, he was explaining a technique he had read about and the results were fantastic, after sending for the books he had recomended I have never looked back.
Let me know what you think.
